Eligibility

Who can apply for the program?
Early-stage innovations that have quick turnaround time for tests, require minimum or no infrastructure to set up or operate and has less dependence on skilled professionals to use/run the tests can apply for the program. The solutions should enable screening, diagnosis and continuum of care.
Can I submit more than one application for different technologies?
Yes, applicants can submit multiple applications, but each application must feature a distinct technology/process/innovation. However, in the final decision, only one application (if selected) will be considered per enterprise.
Is there any preference for a particular type of innovation?
Applicants are encouraged to submit applications solutions that are technology-based and have a high social impact potential. Innovations can be a product and/or a service-based intervention but must be aligned to the focus areas outlined in the program. There is a preference for tech-based innovations.
Can Individuals or Not for Profits apply?
No. Individuals and Not-for-Profits are unfortunately not eligible for the Pfizer Indovation Program.

Program Structure

What is the Structure of the Program?
The program is cohort-driven; however, the durations will vary based on the needs of each start-up and the implementation partner they would be working with. The first month will be an orientation launchpad where the portfolio managers will map an in-depth plan for the Accelerator for each winner. Program structure details will be shared in advance with the winners.
What is the duration of the accelerator?
The Accelerator program is for 24 months; however, it will vary from case to case based on the needs of the winning startups.
Do I have to be physically present at the location at the time of 'Huddles' and other cohort-based sessions? Is attendance necessary?
No, it is not mandatory for all winners of the challenge to be physically present. However, it will be important to attend any online sessions to be able to fully benefit from the program.
How frequently will Social Alpha interface with the winners during the program?
There will be regular interface based on the start-ups needs between the winning teams and the Social Alpha program implementation team. Each start-up will be allocated a portfolio manager to help with customized requests.
What is the role of the partner organizations in the program?
The partners will participate in the acceleration sessions as experts and network leaders from their respective fields, to coach the startups.

Funding Data

Will I be eligible to receive dilutive funding by Social Alpha upon selection?
This will be determined on a case-to-case basis. Start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch for the funding by Social Alpha. The decision will be subject to due diligence, mutual agreement on terms of engagement, and subject to approval by investment committee.
Can I find other funding partners for dilutive investments?
Yes, the winning start-ups can find other funding partners.

Can I submit my application post deadline?
No, applications submitted post the stated deadline will not be considered for evaluation. There are no possibilities for lateral entry into the program.
